The Foundation serves to increase the quality of life for area residents by being responsive to health care issues. By doing so, the Foundation is contributing to making the community a more attractive place to live.  2. The Foundation, as a philanthropic organization, will be guided by the greater good of the community and will seek ways in which individuals can support the Foundation's efforts through such activities as annual fund giving, special events, organizing specific programs, and establishing endowments and planned giving programs.  3. The Foundation values and wishes to encourage quality education for the health care professions and will support a substantial scholarship program for area students majoring in health care.  4. The Foundation will identify areas of unmet needs and seek a solution to meet those needs. The Foundation's role would be that of primarily supplying funding and may be done in cooperation with others in the community.  5. The Foundation, where possible, would serve as the nucleus to supply start-up costs for programs that fall with-in the criteria as set forth by the board of directors. Once solidly in place, the administration and daily operation would fall under another agency, either responsible to the Foundation, on an anonymous entity. Thereafter, the Foundation would simply be an annual contributor for as long as it chose to do so.
