16-17      Stubbins Auxiliary Rummage Sale will be held at the Coates Street Presbyterian Church, parking lot entrance. Friday 4-8pm and Saturday 8-12am.

16           MACC Adult Education and Literacy Recognition Ceremony, Auditorium, 5:30-7:00 p.m.

17             The second annual Magic City May Festival will be held in downtown Moberly.  Main Street Moberly and your downtown merchants will celebrate spring with a car cruise, music, games, contests, talent contest, pet contest, and much more.  Watch the media for a full schedule of activities. Altrusa Club of Moberly will be serving Strawberry Shortcake and Smoothies in Depot Park from 5 - 7 p.m during the Family bike ride.  Proceeds go to Safe Passage's new window project.

20         Healthy Woman presents; 'Connecting with our Community...the future of Healthcare', featuring Kevin Clement, CEO. Learn the scope of services available at MRMC, physician specialties coming to the area, and get your questions answered from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at the Moberly Municipal Auditorium. 22-24    May Daze in Higbee Downtown Higbee. The City of Higbee urges the community and surrounding area residents to come and enjoy their first annual “May Daze”.  A trip back to the carnivals of our youth.   A place to bring your family and enjoy a great carnival, great food and special entertainment both Friday and Saturday.  Featuring Friday at dusk “Sphyre of Prometheus”, a group of fire spinners lighting up the sky.  Saturday evening “For the Irony”, a local vocal group to entertain young & old.   Thursday will be armband band for the carnival rides, Friday night BBQ stand, Saturday Taco Stand.  For more information call Higbee City Hall     at 660-456-7414.

26          Stubbins Youth Center Benefit Golf Tournament PRIZE Giveaway!!!! Moberly Country Club. As you know, inclement weather prohibited play of the 21st Annual Stubbins Regional Memorial Youth Center Golf Tournament.  Unfortunately, the 2008 calendar provides no suitable make-up day.  Thankfully, the gracious staff and membership of the Moberly Country Club will allow promotional items and raffle to be on display during the Club‘s Memorial Day Scramble, Monday – May 26th.  50/50 raffle tickets will be sold and prizes will be given away following the tournament.   In addition to the 50/50 raffle ticket holders will be eligible to win many other donated items. 1               Michael Butterworth of Columbia will perform a concert at the Huntsville Christian Church, 105 E Elm, at 3 p.m.  Jazz, blues, Broadway show tunes, hymns--he plays them all!   Free admission.  Everyone always welcome.

2              Senator Chuck Graham’s Randolph County campaign kick-off located at the James Youth Center in Rothwell Park from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
